Infrared cut filter (also known as infrared filter or heat absorption filter) is a filter applied to filter the infrared band. For example, devices mounted on incandescent light lights (such as slides, projectors) can block unnecessary heat burn lenses, and solid-state electronics (cd or cmos) can prevent infrared light from passing through the camera lens and cause image distortion.
